To acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the past students of UQ Gatton, or its former entities, the UQ Gatton Past Students' Association selects up to three worthy past students each year to receive the Distinguished Past Student Award.  This award honours past students of UQ Gatton who, in their post UQ Gatton life, have achieved distinction in their profession or contributed to community activities that is in some way referable to their time spent at the University.

Nominations must be made by a graduate of UQ Gatton, or its former entities, using the official nomination form. The nominee’s curriculum vitae and the responses to the selection criteria should be attached to the nomination form. The information contained in the covering letter for these documents will also be considered.

Nominations close at the end of September each year. The successful nominees will be presented with their award at the Back to College Weekend reunion dinner, which will be held in the UQ Gatton Dining Hall.
