Co-op Bookshop

The University operates a bookshop on the Gatton Campus, which stocks required texts and stationery plus a large range of stationery at competitive prices. They also stock software, emblematic gifts and clothing, graduation bears, lab coats and dissection kits, and greeting cards.

The shop is a branch of the main St Lucia operation, and offers similar services and access to publishers as provided on other campuses.

Community Garden

The University of Queensland Gatton Community Garden has flourished from the hard work and creativity of a keen group of students, The UQ Plant Science Society.

The idea gained in momentum and once Property and Facilities (UQ Sustainability) came on board along with the Office of the Director, Gatton Campus the project grew larger than was initially envisioned. The UQ Gatton Community Garden is nearly a hectare in size and includes thirty-eight garden beds in which students and staff can grow their own herbs and vegetables as well as a soil pit, outdoor seating and a covered deck that can be used as a versatile classroom, a garden shed and an amenities block.

Intercampus Bus Service

The University of Queensland provides staff and students two free bus services, the Intercampus bus service and the St Lucia-Long Pocket shuttle. These services are provided for UQ students and staff who are working on campus. It is not a public bus service, however bona fide visitors attending on UQ business may arrange to obtain a permit to travel on these buses.

A charter bus hire service is also available through UQ's bus service provider, Belbaker Pty Ltd. It includes the provision of charter buses for student transfers and ceremonial events in modern air-conditioned buses.

A post office and cashiers is located on campus in the N. W. Briton Administration Centre next to the Student Centre. The Post Office is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm, with  24 hour access to post office boxes.
