The Grazing Unit provides support for teaching and research activities with production animals, including beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep and goats.
The unit also does maintenance of infrastructure and equipment associated with the farm operations and property development work.
It also maintains a stud herd of 30 Santa Gertrudis cattle used for teaching and demonstration.
