The Equine Unit is used for the support of teaching and research undertaken by the School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability and the School of Veterinary Science on the Gatton campus.
We currently have 110 horses on campus.
Facilities include a horse walker, round yards, performance testing facilities, a reproduction laboratory, holding yards, teasing lanes and equestrian training arenas.
Inductions
The Equine Unit induction is now available to:
- Staff and HDR students (requires UQ login)
- Undergraduate students (requires UQ login)
- Non-UQ volunteers, visitors and contractors
