The Gatton campus offers facilities, catering and short-term accommodation for conferences.

Lecture theatres and central learning spaces
UQ Gatton offers a wide range of lecture theatres and learning spaces. Our lecture theatres range in capacity from 60 seats to 298 seats.
They are air conditioned and feature audio visual systems that include:
- podium microphone
- computer terminal
- projector linked to computer interface
- audio and video recording options for presentations
- live link-up.
Other small and large learning spaces, including seminar and breakout rooms, are designed for multiple styles and scales of learning activity.

Meeting rooms
Foundation Building
The heritage-listed Foundation Building was constructed in 1896. It is ideal for short courses, conferences, meetings, presentations, weddings, and formal dinners. A small chapel (seating 25 people) is located near the building and is perfect for anyone planning a wedding on campus.

- Function room: Seating for approximately 50 people
- Northern room: Seating for approximately 50 people
- Board room: Seating for approximately 20 people

The Homestead
The Homestead was built in 1897 as the Principal’s residence. It is ideal for short courses, training, seminars and smaller meetings.

Multi-Purpose Hall
The Elton Burns Recreation Building (Multi Purpose Hall) is perfect for short courses, conferences, exhibits, and dances.

Continuing Education Centre (CEC)
The Peter Roberts Continuing Education Centre is connected to the Gatton Campus Motel by a walkway and is perfect for short courses, conferences, meetings, and presentations.

UQ Gatton offers short-stay accommodation for visitors and conference groups.Catering
The Halls of Residence Conference Unit, in conjunction with Compass Group, provide an on campus catering service that can be booked for your event, large or small.
Guests can also book for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Dining Hall. Menu options include delicious breakfast selections, gourmet lunches through to premium cocktail party packages, formal dinners and BBQs.
Special dietary requirements are also catered for. All catering requires at least 48 hours notice.
Recreational activities
The UQ Sport Gatton Fitness and Aquatic Centre includes a 25 metre heated pool, cardio and weights gym, sporting hall, squash, netball, basketball and tennis courts and playing ovals. This facility can be included in your conference package for an additional cost. The UQ Fitness and Aquatic Centre is open to the general public.
