See the types of accommodation you can choose from while you study at the Gatton campus.
Note: Don't wait until receiving your full UQ or QTAC offer before applying for accommodation on campus, as applications are highly competitive for limited vacancies. We strongly encourage you to contact UQ Res Homes or UQ Living for details of when their applications open and close.
Halls of Residence
- On-campus single room accommodation for up to 436 residents
- Shared bathroom facilities
- Three high-quality meals per day served in the dining hall
- Several self-catered facilities available for residents with special dietary requirements

On-campus housing
- On-campus houses (self-catered) that UQ Res Homes manage
- We give priority to students from regional areas, international students with limited knowledge of the area, students with limited income, and students with other special circumstances
- If your application is successful, we'll allocate you a room for a maximum of two semesters. After this time, you'll need to find alternative long-term accommodation, with the support of staff at UQ Res Homes.
UQ Living
- Provide information and a database of available rental accommodation in the townships surrounding the campus
- Services such as airport reception and/or temporary accommodation (new international students only) and accommodation information sessions.
