Getting to UQ Gatton
By car
UQ's Gatton campus is located on the Warrego Highway approximately five kilometres outside the town of Gatton.
If you're travelling from Brisbane:
- take the Centenary Highway until it ends at the Ipswich Motorway and take the Ipswich/Toowoomba turn-off.
If you're travelling from Ipswich:
- follow the Ipswich Motorway and take the Toowoomba turn-off at Riverview (to the left before the flyover) to get onto the Warrego Highway, then follow the Warrego Highway towards Gatton for approximately 45 kilometres.
- the Gatton Campus entrance is located on the left-hand side of the Warrego Highway (just before the overpass and just after you pass the McDonald's on your right).
By inter-campus bus
UQ's St Lucia and Gatton campuses are linked by an express bus service for students and staff.
It runs five times a day eastbound and four times a day westbound (Monday to Friday during semester.)
Travel time between the two campuses is approximately one and a half hours.
By train
A rail-bus service runs between Brisbane and Gatton.
Trains stop at Rosewood (on the Ipswich line) and passengers travel by Greyhound bus to the centre of the Gatton campus.
Express coaches travelling between Brisbane and Toowoomba stop at the Gatton campus.
