This year, the Country Challenge on Campus will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 14. The goal of the event is to encourage school students, university students and community members to visit the campus and help raise money for Beyond Blue during Mental Health Week.

  • Online registrations are available until Friday, October 12.
  • Race kit collections start from 6:00am on race day.
  • The race will commence at 7:00am

There will be lots of fun, food and activities to keep the whole family entertained after the completion of the race. We will have three race categories in the 10km race this year, including School Student, University Student and Open categories.

Prizes for male and female in each category of the 10km run include:

  • School student:
    • First place $1,500 fee reduction on Halls of Residence accommodation for your first year at Gatton1
    • Second place $1,000 fee reduction on Halls of Residence accommodation for your first year at Gatton1
    • Third place $500 fee reduction on Halls of Residence accommodation for your first year at Gatton1
  • University student: $250 gift voucher for the Co-op Bookshop
  • Open: UQ Sport 3 month Gold Pass providing access to weights, pool and classes at either Gatton or St Lucia ($250 value)

Entrants are only elligible for one race category and must choose at registration.

The 5km race will be a more social event, with medallions for all participants.

1 To be eligible, you must be a school student at the time of the race and register in the School Student category and you cannot currently or previously have lived in the Halls of Residence. To claim the prize, you must successfully apply to study a Gatton-based program with the University of Queensland through the normal process (QTAC or GVEC) and must submit an application to the Halls of Residence. Voucher valid for three years.
