We believe no ethical dilemma can be solved by looking at it in isolation of a wider network of factors. For instance, how can one make steps towards conservation of wildlife populations if one doesn’t take into account human culture, agriculture and ecology?

The Black Pigs are a Rugby Union Football club based on UQ Gatton Campus. Its two mens teams and women's 7s team compete in the Darling Downs competition. Training is 6pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at Hugh Courtney Oval, March-August

The role of the Resident’s club is to provide you with enriching social, cultural and sporting activities to help you meet people, consolidate friendships, try new experiences and have fun! The Resident’s Club is an elected Committee of residents who are passionate about enriching Halls life. The Resident’s club have been busy all summer planning and organising Orientation Week and a selection of exciting events and activities throughout the year for the benefit of the residents of the Halls. They do this for nothing more than the reason of wanting to make college as exciting and dynamic for residents as possible.

One health is the interface of human, animal and environmental health.

One health holds discussions in health related fields including topics like cultural competency/ animal health work in indigenous communities, zoonoses, biosecurity and career opportunities for vets and vet students interested in One Health. We promote student attendance at conferences, host field days and are launching a student trip to Brazil that we would like to make an annual event. If you are interested in international affairs, the weird and whacky places vet can take you, and keen to improve the health and welfare of humans and animals around the world we'd love for you to join us!

VeSPA provides support to all animal and veterinary science postgraduate students regarding both academic and social aspects of their degree and life.

We frequently hold seminars for students to present in a relaxed postgrad environment and hold a number of social events during the year where both staff and students attend.

The executive committee is available to discuss postgraduate life throughout the year and we encourage relationships among varying research topics to develop academic and technical learning.
