In the following regulations and conditions, the term “Exhibitor” describes any company, firm, or person who has made a booking and/or has been allocated a space in the exhibition, or any agent, representative or employer of the Exhibitor.
The term “Organiser” relates to The University of Queensland Gatton Campus Marketing Department.
- Security and Insurance
Neither the Organiser nor its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors shall be responsible for the safety or security of any other property, for any damage or destruction by theft or fire or from any other cause, or for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any Exhibitor, its employees, representatives, agency or sub-contractors or any other person (save that this shall not limit the Organiser’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising from the Organiser’s negligence). The Exhibitor shall indemnify the Organiser and its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors against any liability incurred by the Organiser or its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors to third persons as a result of any act or omission of the Exhibitor, its servants or agents. Exhibitors are responsible for effecting their own insurance against risk of loss, damage, injury or liability.
- Postponement or Abandonment
The Exhibitor shall have no claim against the Organiser or its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors in respect of any loss or damage consequent upon the prevention, postponement or abandonment of the exhibition or upon the exhibition building becoming wholly or partially unavailable for the holding of the exhibition for reasons beyond the control of the Organiser or its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors.
- Manning of Stands
The Exhibitor is required to ensure that their stand is manned during the opening hours of the exhibition and must not remove or dismantle equipment before the published event closing time of the UQ Careers Fair. The exhibitor shall not sub-let the whole or any part of the stand allocated to it without the written consent of the Organiser.
- Advertising Matter
All printed matter or advertisement of any kind intended for distribution in the exhibition may only be distributed from the Exhibitor’s stand and shall not be distributed in the neighbourhood of the entrance or exits. The exhibitor must not station any attendant in the gangways or place anything in or over them, or upon any space other than that allotted to the Exhibitor. The Exhibitor must not circulate through the UQ Centre for advertising purposes or use any audible means of attracting visitors to the annoyance or inconvenience of any other Exhibitor. Any advertising matter related to competitions, prizes, awards, refreshments or gifts must first be submitted for approval to the exhibition Organiser and written consent obtained.
- Health and Safety at Work Regulations
It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to ensure that the displays and exhibits of the Exhibitor, its employees, representatives, agents or sub-contractors displays and exhibits comply with The University of Queensland’s legislation regarding Health and Safety regulations.
